UGH I'm so tired of Stanton. Between the injuries and being so dreadful to watch at the plate. I'm just over it. I wish there was a way to just move on. Other than his first at bat back from the IL, his last two at bats have not been bad. No strikeouts and getting the ball in the air. His timing doesn't look as off as I expected it to be. Imagine not playing for a month and then facing one of the best pitcher's in the game, even if said pitcher is having an off night.

intersting at bat here... Schwarber will be looking to answer back with a HR, especially with 2 out and no one on, he's walked twice Gil should be challenging him this at bat, needs to overpower him.

Yeah, I don't mean it so much as this game in particular has been bad, even though he's 0-3. More just a general feeling. He's always injured. I hate the hitting style. I just want to move on from him. I know it's contractually impossible, but I'd just rather move on.

Slider on the outside 3rd, taken 0-1 Change bounced inside, 1-1 Change tails well low/away, 2-1 Swings over a slider low in the middle, 2-2 Swings over a slider down and in, K. Great job, rookie! Great shutdown inning, 1-2-3 with 2 K's on just 11 pitches, and 79 through 5.
Top 6, 7-2 Yanks. Chisholm, Torres and Rice for the Yanks in the 6th.

Gil's recovery from that rough patch has been most impressive.

Anyone remember the song "Funky Nassau" by Beginning Of The End? It was a pretty big hit in the spring of 1971.

Yunior Marte in for Wheeler. Mostly slider and sinker, can hit 97-8. Chisholm pulls a 1st pitch sinker at the knees to the right side, Harper dives to his right to get it, flips to Mater, 1 pitch 1 out.

With only 260 at bats, he has 18 homers and 45 RBI. With all the time he missed, Stanton is only three RBI behind Verdugo (392 at bats). Only Judge and Soto are ahead of Dugo and Stanton.

Torres swings on a sinker down and in, but this grounder finds the 56 hole for a 1 out single.
