I had to go with Didi. The first inning gut punch was quickly erased by his 3 run jack and made this into a game. And what a game it was! Hat tip to David Robertson (Houdini!). 3.1 innings, 5 Ks, No earned runs, are you kidding me? Second hat tip to Aaron Judge who gave the Yankees some breathing room!

I gave Didi much consideration, but went with Robertson. He was awesome.

I gave Chad Green a vote. He only gave up a run because Joe stayed with him a bit too long. When he shut that 1st inning down it made me feel like we had a chance...
Each HR made a statement in that game. Didi's was the comeback, Gardner's showed we weren't messing around, and Judge put the exclamation point on the offense. I think Minnesota wilted at that point... Too bad Judge's foul HR didn't stay fair later in the game. He smacked that one just as hard...
I don't know if anyone else noticed, but each of Chapman's strikeout pitches was on his 103 MPH fastball. The one that ended the game was the only one in the strike zone...It was almost like the hitters were up there thinking "It's my turn to strike out, now". Except for Mauer. His hit didn't surprise me or concern me at all...He worked for it, and he got it...
The combination of Green/Robertson/Kahnle/Chapman were fantastic. I hope we don't need Green, Robbie, or Kahnle much tomorrow, though...Rest 'em up if we can...

Can we give Cashman an honorable mention for the trade he made with the White Sox?

I gave it to Green because he got us out of the 1st inning jam (that could have been a 5-6 run inning) and then he calmed the storm in the 2nd. By keeping it at 3 and then blanking the Twins in the 2nd it completely reset the game on the Yankees end. Robertson was terrific as well. It's hard to pick between Green, Robertson and Didi but I went with Green.

Can we give Cashman an honorable mention for the trade he made with the White Sox? And the trade to get DiDi And the trade to get Chad Green. I haven't voted yet, can't decide between Green, Robertson and DiDi.

I think its Robertson...10 scoreless outs on 52 pitches. It was Milleresque.
Didi's home run was the turning point but Robertson rising to the occasions and doing something he doesnt do (pitching across 4 separate innings) was so key.

I'm thinking that if we can re-sign Robertson that will allow us to trade Betances...He's been great to have, but it looks like the end may be near for him...Steve Blass disease may be right around the corner...

Don't count him out just yet. I know we are all down on him, but I think Betances will come up big this post-season. And considering how much Robertson and Green pitched yesterday, along with Kahnle, Betances will likely be called on to get some big outs tomorrow night.

Just trust that fastball more. Don't throw freakin 7 curveballs in a row.
