FB inside corner ties him up a bit, he gets under it to center, Judge jogs a few steps to his right, catches, 1 down.

Carpenter swings over a curve down and in, 0-1
Curve misses low down and in, 1-1
FB in the zone up and away, swung under. Cole throwing just 93-4 right now.
Maybe saving something for if he runs into trouble.
Back leg slider taken, 2-2
FB misses 5-6 inches high, inside corner, 3-2
FB on the high outside corner, fouled back and to the left.

Curve in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, pulled through the 34 hole for a 1-out single by Carpenter.

This is a fast moving game. Can we face those White Sox relievers again? Just another ordinary lefty stifling the Yanks' bats, chi. It stinks, but we need more right handers to do some damage. |

Vierling takes a curve in a bad spot, just inside middle, 0-1
FB at 96.4 in almost the same spot as the curve, fouled off, 0-2
Slider outside, knee high, 1-2.
Bad slider stays waist high, outer 3rd, serves it to right of center for a hit, drops in front of Judge, Carpenter stops at 2nd with 1 out.

He has still never hit a fastball for a home run. Always hangers, which is better than fouling it back, but it is odd that most professional baseball players between AAA and the majors wash out because they have trouble with breaking balls. Does that count his minor league HR's? Of every home run that I have seen - minors (replays/highlights) or majors - they have been off hangers or spinners, essentially center cut. He has not demonstrated the ability to sit on a fastball and drive it. |

Curve near middle, grounded up the middle to the right of 2nd, Volpe has to field on the right side of 2nd, has only 1 play, bobbles for a moment, then throws out Madris as the runners go to 2nd and 3rd with 2 down.

Takes a 96 FB right down the middle, 1-2
Bounces the curve too low to get Jung to chase, 2-2
Has too be higher, but outer 3rd for that.
