Slider backs way up and in, ball 1 on Amaya.
FB with some cut again, well outside, chased, 1-1
Hanging slider on the inner 3rd, foul tipped, 1-2
FB outside, he goes after it, grounds it to Rizzo off 1st, takes it to the bag, inning over.
Easy 1-2-3 for Gil in the 5th, just 8 pitches and 74 through 5.
Now I think he at least starts the 6th.
Top 6, 3-0 Yanks.
Stanton, Chisholm and Rizzo for the Yanks in the 6th.

Hanging slider above middle, but Stanton fouls it off.
Curve at the knees, outer 3rd, rolled over to Swanson, throws him out, 1 down.

Chisholm goes after a 1st pitch cutter down and in, rolls it over to Hoerner, 2 down. 4 pitches, 2 outs.

Rizzo takes a cutter about 4 inches outside, waist high, ball 1
Takes a change that nearly bounced, 2-0
FB at 94 tails well outside, ball 3.
Ball 4; FB with some cut stays high, inner half, Rizzo walks with 2 down, getting Gil a bit of rest, if nothing else.

Volpe takes a cutter outside, ball 1.
FB tails well inside, makes him Jackknife, 2-0
Cutter starts at him, hits the inner 3rd, Volpe freezing, 2-1
Cutter to the high inside corner, fouled off, 2-2
Take your timeout here, but he doesn't.
Slider hangs above the inner, grounded hard but bounces just foul as it goes to the outside of the bag. Almost a double.
Takes a curve bounced outside, 3-2.
Still doesn't take the timeout.

armstrong makes a sliding catch robbing volpe of a hit. seems like we hit we hit into more luck than our opponents.

Cutter low in the zone, blooped to right center, but Crow-Armstrong gets the jump, makes a sliding backhand catch to end the inning.
By reputation, he's playing a Gold Glove level centerfield for the Cubs.
Bottom 6, 3-0 Yanks.
15 pitches for Thompson that inning.
Top of the order for the Cubs in their 6th inning: Happ, Busch and Suzuki.

Fb misses outside below the waist but 2-3 inches at 95.5, gets a break on the call, missed on Gameday, 0%, Gil lucky it's called strike 2.
Fb just below the last one, that one called correctly, 2-2
FB up in the zone at 96, swung under for the K, 1 down
I'm guessing the Name that Yankee is Jose Vizcaino.

Slider down the middle, but Busch misses late and on top, grounds it to Rizzo well off 1st, he waist a beat, makes a good throw to Gil for the out, 2 down.
