Judge takes a slider to the knees for a strike. Cutter outside middle, thigh high, down the end of the bat, but still lined to center for a 2 out single. Wells up.

Slider on the low inside corner, fouled, 0-1 on Wells. FB just outside, he starts but checks in time, waist high, 1-1 Curve drops onto the inside corner near the top, fooled him, takes it, 1-2 Judge goes, FB near the top, Wells hits it back up the middle, deflects off the side of the mound but right to Story near 2nd, throws out Wells, inning over.
Top 8, 1-1. Rafaela, Duran and Devers for the Sox in the 8th.

Four hard hit balls for Judge and one finally falls in. That one was the softest of the four: 99.9, 99.9, 104.7 and that one was 88.1.

I feel like Judge & Soto are swooning at the right time and should come around for the stretch run & playoffs. Will still need a couple of other guys in the lineup to show up as well. And you're right, each of these starters have had multiple 3+ start stretches where they pitch very well. Hopefully a couple of them have it in them to do it in October. My biggest concern as it's been all season will be the bullpen. We still don't know who can close, and all of these guys have been anywhere from shaky to downright awful at times. I just know that Leiter Fluid and Holmes should be nothing more than slag arms come October. Looks like the closer's job is Weaver's until he proves otherwise. Hopefully he seizes it and can be effective. He's been really good for the last month.

1st pitch to Rafaela, sinker waist high outer 3rd, hammered back up the middle, hits the webbing of the mitt, knocks it off, he recovers, sets and throws him out, 1 down.

Aside from Tuesday's outburst, this lineup is really scuffling right now.

Duran takes a sinker on the outside corner thigh high, 0-1 Sinker way low, inside corner, 1-1 Sinker inside, bounced foul halfway up the line off 1st. 1-2 Duran is 1-4 vs. Hill.

FB well high, Duran swings under, rare K for Hill. Devers is 2-7 vs. Hill, both singles, and 2 K's.

Awesome job from Hill. He doesn't look like a fun guy to face.

Devers takes a nothing sinker inside middle, 0-1 Sinker inside corner, waist high, fouled off Wells, 0-2 Drops way down, yanks the sinker outside, no chase, 1-2 Sinker up and well inside, tight half swing, and he makes contact to spoil. No idea how he hit that at all. FB down and in at 92, but inside, rolled down 1st, but foul. Broke his bat, too. Just don't leave him a FB or sinker near middle, Tim. Sinker just inside thigh high, rolled over to Torres, throws him out, inning over. Great job by Hill, too. But Holmes was warming. Bottom 8, 1-1 Stanton, Chisholm and Dominguez for the Yanks in the 8th. I would think the Sox will go to another lefty after Stanton. Stanton is 0-1 vs. Slaten, a K.
