Takes a change outside, 1-1
Chase in the zone low/away, grounder to 3rd, they get the force at 2nd, and that's all, 1 out, Turner replaces Arozarena at 1st. Not sure why they didn't get two, I'll see it in two more pitches.

Takes a change low and away. 1-1
OK, Jazz hung back on the DP ball, and Torres held the relay because it took a bit for the throw to get to him.
Cutter outer 3rd hit hard up the middle, should be two, Torres bobbles, bobbles again, picks it up late and barely tags the bag with his glove and ball, gets the force at least, 2 down.

Takes a FB inner 3rd, 0-1
Change low in the zone, Garver hits it hard but foul, 1-2
Sinker way outside, 2-2
Throw over.
Change at the knees, fouled off.
FB low in the middle IS STRIKE THREE and not called, 90% on Gameday, terrible call leaves Nestor another strike to get, extends the inning.

Excuse me, forget about Crawford.
Just saw the terrible call, both Cortes and Wells started to walk off, and had to come back, and they were right.
Cutter on the knees, outer 3rd, taken for a strike.
Slider just outside, hits a fliner to deep left but not a hard play, Verdugo is there, inning over.
Top 5, 1-0 Yanks.
21 pitches in the 4th for Cortes, and 64 through 4.
Verdugo leads off, then back to the top for Torres and Soto for the Yanks in the 5th.

Nestor works around the Gleyber bobble and bad call by the ump. He's gotten some poor play behind him on the Dominguez lost in space double, and Jazz not quite playing some grounders right. |

Verdugo chases a cutter well inside at the top, and pops to Crawford for the 1st out. Well, at least it wasn't just another rollover grounder.  |
