I’m still holding a steady 195 pounds...after years of staying around 215...Most guessers think I weigh about 180...even when I was 215...I wonder what they’d guess if I got up to 300, or down to 120??? |

I’ve finally resigned myself to Hicks being the CF instead of Gardner. He’s done much better there than I expected, and has a strong arm, so I don’t mind anymore. The CF makes more throws than either corner...so a better arm in CF can save runs...

Good for you inger! How tall are you again? I'm six feet, 209 pounds. I'm trying to get down to 190 at least. I’m 5’11”. I have a lot of bulk in my upper back, shoulders, and legs, which I attribute to lifting my handicapped son for so many years. Deceptively strong for and old man...for now... I think ten more pounds would be about the most I could lose without being bony... There’s hope for you, kaybli. I was at 233 in my early fifties, before the divorce...stress eating... |

I’m about 50-50 on Hicks vs. Frazier. Somehow, I think having to wait a while in AAA is going to be good for Frazier’s ego in the long run...
I just hope he lives long enough to get a shot in the Yankee OF...which kind of means, either he, Ellsbury, or Hicks..,or maybe two of them, will need to be dealt at some point before too long...

I'd prefer Red Thunder in LF and Gardner in CF but I don't mind Cashman's Guy. Cashman's Guy seems to work the count well, and always looks like he’s on the verge of busting out...but...just when starts...he goes back into his shell...soooooo close... That's exactly why I said recently that I've seen enough of him. The problem is that Gardner cannot play everyday without wearing down. If Ellsbury ever gets healthy, I think Hicks will get traded. If Tyler Wade could hit major league pitching, he could be a Paul Blair type, coming off the bench to play centerfield. |
