1. Gardner (LF) 2. Judge (RF) 3. Gregorius (SS) 4. Stanton (DH) 5. Bird (1B) 6. Sanchez (C) 7. Cashman's Guy (CF) 8. Andujar (3B) 9. Torres (2B)
Eovaldi is still throwing 100 mph after surgery. Let's hope he's the wild, walk the house Eovaldi from prior seasons.

Our good friend Elvodia is back! Let's hope our rook lives up to his scouting report.

Eovaldi = 4 vowels, 3 consonants...
Loaisiga = 5 vowels, 3 consonants...
This game is a vowel movement...
I hope Eovaldi still has a straight as a string fastball. The speed was never his issue...And his control wasn't all that bad...just that when he got behind hitters, he'd come in with that 100 MPH "straight ball" and it would get hit, witness the career 9.4 hits per nine, the 2.9 BB per nine (about MLB average). I would wager that there are few, if any other pitchers in MLB that can get the fastball up to 100 MPH with a lower K per nine than Eovaldi's 6.6...
Historically, his biggest issue has been the inability to get LH hitters out...career .291/.352/.432. They hit him more regularly than RHH, and he tends to walk them more often, while fanning them less often...Could be a good night for the lefty hitters...hint, hint, Mr. Boone... Lefty hitters have a career .784 OPS against Eovaldi...That's pretty high...

Nice job to recover from the leadoff walk by Johnny Lasagna! 97-98 mph fastball and a nice curve ball, just waiting to see if he can spot his breaking ball for a strike. Calm demeanor on the mound.

If Eovaldi keeps throwing that slider for strikes, he'll be tough tonight.

I didn't realize Refsnyder plays for the Rays. Good for him.
