6'7" seems a bit too large to play SS... They moved to CF for that reason. Yeah...24 errors. |

My wifi dropped out on me again.
I missed Jazz getting frozen on another 100 mph Maddux FB (not even a sinker) that he had no chance on, it was 4-5 inches off the plate on the way, still tailed into the zone, 70% on Gameday.
Skenes' day over at 23 pitches, all 6 batters retired three on K's.
Gil got the Pirates 1-2-3 on 3 flyouts to left, the first one off the bat of Cook took Dominguez to the wall, but he found it and caught it.
Bottom 3, 1-0 Pirates.
Burrows got called up today, he'll piggyback on Skenes' 2 innings.

Hopefully Gil gets this same strike zone. Cuzzi is a pitcher's ump, but I think he's called everything right. The first to Judge was well off the plate he had to chase later because it was called a strike. Cuzzi did give Gil a inch or two off the plate to the last hitter he just face. |

Berti gets a 1st pitch FB just outside middle, misses late and under, pops to Cruz in shortish right center, he came a long way, didn't seem to judge it correctly right away, inning over.
Yanks go 1-2-3 again, but Burrows needs 15 pitches thanks to Rizzo's long at bat.
Top 4, 1-0 Pirates.
Cruz, Gonzales and Palacios for the Pirates in the 4th.
