I know I am no expert on baseball, but I have never understood with as much money as cashman has to work with how our offenses have such a hard time getting hits. This is the best offense you can come up with, with this much money? Cashman's roster decisions/additions for the last 10+ years have been...um...subpar. I'd argue he's even worse with the pitching staff. it's why so many want him gone. But he apparently has unlimited rope because of a dynasty over two decades ago. and because he married into the family which unlike GS really does not care much if they make the WS. Only the profit.

Witt gets a FB well inside, tries to turn out it, pops it down the line in left, lands foul, nobody can reach it. 0-1 FB above and inside middle at 98, fouled off the right side, 0-2 Sinker held on to way too long, bounced about 40 feet from the rubber, 1-2 Slider well outside, 2-2 FB about 4 inches low, outside middle, from 0-2 to 3-2. Slider dives low, outside corner, Witt with a Stantonian chase for the K, 1 down.

Yankees have hit Classe plenty of times. He gave up a HR today too. Who cares. They have to get by KC first don’t they? That'll be a breeze. Look at the Yanks' road record. They can't wait to leave the Bronx, I'm sure.

As long as the Yankees jump out to early leads. They don't want to face the Cleveland bullpen if they're behind late in the game. Yankees have hit Classe plenty of times. He gave up a HR today too. Some closers have a mental block with specific teams, and Clase does not seem to enjoy pitching against the Yankees.

The Yankees lead the AL in runs scored. hits hits hits not runs scored. We need more people who can bat .275. we would not have last been in the WS in 2009. The longest gap in Yankee history. We will never agree. I think hitting for average matters and explains our lack of play off success. At least you lowered your expectations from .300 to .275.

FB outside corner, Pasquantino fouls it off of Wells, who has to adjust his equipment, the right knee pad. 0-1 FB on the high inside corner, he launches it deep into the 2nd deck, but pulled it foul, 0-2 Slider on the low inside corner, swung over for the K, 2 down.

A good question would be, which of the top 2 2024 AL MVP candidates is choking more in this series?

Yankees have hit Classe plenty of times. He gave up a HR today too. Who cares. They have to get by KC first don’t they? KC bullpen has plenty of holes. Yankees have scored on them all year. They've had baserunners tonight. Game isn't over.
