Sinker misses just up and away, ball 1. Sinker inside corner, tries to check, hits the bat, 1-1 Sinker RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE at 98, late and under, fouled off, 1-2 Sinker just below that one at 98, fouled again. I realize that 98 is 98, but he oughta be able to make a good move on one of those. Slider bounced inside, 2-2 Sinker 6 inches outside, ball 3. Overthrows the sinker well high, easy take, ball 4. Man on 1st, 1 out for Wells.

hits hits hits not runs scored. We need more people who can bat .275. we would not have last been in the WS in 2009. The longest gap in Yankee history. We will never agree. I think hitting for average matters and explains our lack of play off success. At least you lowered your expectations from .300 to .275. how many of our current players bat .275

The Royals have one player on their roster who hit over .275 so they must really suck. I just check all the reaming AL teams. The Yankees has two players who hit over .275, Soto and Judge. Cleveland has two and Detroit has one. Geez he lowers his exceptions and stats still don't favor him lol.

Wells takes a sinker up in the zone over the middle, 0-1 Swings over a curve that wound up low, inner half, 1-1 Takes his timeout. Sinker below middle, grounded to Witt, he fields on the right side of 2nd, goes back to touch 2nd, throws out Wells to complete the 6-6-3 DP, inning over.
Top 6, 4-1 Royals. 15 pitches for Zerpa that inning.
Gurriel, Massey and Pham for the Royals in the 6th.

Yankees wish list for 2025: Resign Soto, and get an honest to goodness cleanup hitter to protect Aaron Judge!

At least you lowered your expectations from .300 to .275. how many of our current players bat .275 The total number of qualified hitters in MLB who hit .275 or better is 33, about one per team. But good teams, contending teams should have at least 3-5 of them.

Sinker below the top, taken for a strike, 0-1 Sinker below and outside middle, taken for a strike, 0-2 on Gurriel. Slider outside corner, Gurriel waiting for it, but pulls it down 3rd, Chisholm backs up, throws offline to the HP side, Berti does well to dive and stop it from becoming a two base error, almost tagged Gurriel going by as well, E-5 leading off.
