For 40 years old, Gurriel runs well.

Ugh, wild throw from Jazz. At least Berti got it.

Ugh, wild throw from Jazz. At least Berti got it. Almost made a nifty play to tag Gurriel.

how many of our current players bat .275 The total number of qualified hitters in MLB who hit .275 or better is 33, about one per team. But good teams, contending teams should have at least 3-5 of them. Didn't Chi just say no team in the AL left has more than two?

Massey up. Throw over. Slider misses well low, near the corner inside, 1-0 Slider doesn't get to the back door, 2-0 Sinker doesn't tail back to the inside corner, 3-0 Sinker tails well outside ball 4.
Cousins checking his footing on release. 1st and 2nd, nobody out for Pham. Be careful with your sinker here, Cousins.

But good teams, contending teams should have at least 3-5 of them. The Dodgers have their trio of MVP's and Rojas and the Padres have several. That's it for the 8 teams that are still playing.

Sinker at the top popped high fairly deep right, Soto catches on the edge of the track, Gurriel tags and moves to 3rd with 1 down.

Lefty Melendez in to PH for righty Renfroe. Boone responds by bringing in Hill, praying for a DP grounder at an infielder.

Hill in to face the lefty Melendez. Not a good outing for Cousins.

2-18 with RISP so far this series. Same playoff Yankees so the results will be the same. If they’re not hitting homers this lineup is easily cooked.

Royals could counter with Blanco here if they want, but they probably won't.

they spend a tiny fraction of what we do. We could go after players who can hit, we choose not to. Everyone knows the Yankees traded for Soto because of his defense and positive club house demeanor. Meanwhile look at all the dingers Higgy is walloping for the Padres, and King has become one of their aces.
