Chases a change tailing outside above the knees, 0-2.
Change bounced over the middle of the plate, 1-2
Change tails low and away, he lays off this one, 2-2
Change thigh high, outside middle, fouled down.
Change on the corner away, above the knees, fouled out of play off the left side.
FB inside, he chases and gets a piece, still 2-2.
Change bounced, outer half, no chase, 3-2
FB well outside, taken, ball 4. From 0-2 to a 9-pitch walk. Not great. Great at bat by Massey, though.

4hits in 7 innings doesn’t cut it I think the Royals only outnumber the baserunners 11-9 they got the clutch hits with them on though. They got them all in the same inning tonight. |

Change gets a tiny pitch of the low outside corner, not called, maybe 5% on Gameday, marginal.
Change bounced outside, 3-0.
Pham 0-4 with 1 K vs. Kahnle, no idea why he's avoiding the zone.
Change misses 3 inches outside at the knees, Kahnle gets a big break, called a strike anyway, ball call, 3-1
That change IS on the outside corner, Pham looks back in confusion, but it's 20% on Gameday, 3-2
FB outside corner at 95, waist high, Pham caught flat-footed looking for another change, takes it for the ꓘ, inning over.
Kahnle got a big break on the 3-0, and took advantage.
Bottom 8, 4-1 Royals. Would expect Erceg here, with Judge, Wells and Stanton due in.

Judge is 1-2 with 1 K vs. Erceg. Vs Bubic, he's 2-5 with a 2 run HR, 1 BB and 1 K.
Wells hasn't faced Erceg unless he did in game 1; he's faced Bubic once and walked.
Stanton is 1-5 vs. Erceg with a double, 2 RBI, and 1 K; vs Erceg, he's 2-5 with a 2 run HR.

1st pitch slider inner 3rd, bounced toward the 56 hole, Garcia dives to his left, spears, gets up and throws a strike, but Judge beats it by a hair, infield hit.

Takes a slider well low, 1-1
Hanging slider outside middle middle, but he's early and on top, bounced foul off 1st. Sigh.
FB otuside, but he doesn't chase. About 6 inches away, and Perez moved the mitt, no sale.
Sinker on the outside corner for the ꓘ, Wells thought it was a slider by locations and count, flummoxed.
