At what point do you just admit Stanton is a sunk cost? The occasional homerun isn't worth the long funks and what an enormous liability his legs are.

I can't see anyway Stanton plays out his entire contract with the Yankees. It could be another Ellsbury situation. Whatever happened with that? The Yankees stopped paying him and I thought he sued them, but then the story went away. |

I can't see anyway Stanton plays out his entire contract with the Yankees. I have never understood why he was ever here. Jeter sold Cashman on Stanton's one hit wonder season, convincing him it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring another MVP to the Bronx. |

I can think of one. He has very little power.
Weaver comes in to face Witt, which I suppose makes sense with the day off tomorrow, but I wish they could've given him 2 days off in a row.
Only reliever left is now Gil.
