Whatever happened with that? The Yankees stopped paying him and I thought he sued them, but then the story went away. Arbiters sided with him and he got his money. Another badge of honor for Cashman. Thanks, I missed that completely. Another banner signing by the Village Idiot. |

At what point do you just admit Stanton is a sunk cost? The occasional homerun isn't worth the long funks and what an enormous liability his legs are. five years ago Maybe, but Hal not eating $200 million. |

Been saying it for years, any organization that claims the World Series is the standard would not still be employing Brian Cashman as their GM. His track record since the dynasty years, and really the last 10 in particular is horrific. Look at all the bad contracts we have just on the current roster. It borders on gross incompetence, but he's "one of the boys" so I'm afraid we're saddled with him into perpetuity. |

This Weaver appearance will almost certainly break his perfect string since being made the closer, no chance for a save or hold, very little chance for a win.
Change way low, 2-2
Change at the bottom, late and under, popped foul off 1st, Berti moves left, catches, inning over.
Bottom 9th, Yanks have to get three off of Erceg, a very tough closer who throws 98-99-100, and who's best just as hot as Weaver since a bad stretch 5 weeks ago.
Chisholm, Volpe and Verdugo for the Yanks.
