Great game...a lot of energy in there tonight. It was wicked windy outside the stadium... not so bad inside. We sat on the 3rd base side, sec 127 in between 3rd base and the lf pole. Too many lob early, but they had Cobb on the ropes early, between the walks and the wild pitches, they were working over the Cleveland pitchers. Judgie looks like he's getting closer to hitting one out! Stantino Bambino doing his thing is a thing of beauty. We had a great time. I hope you get a win! Judgie's my pick to click for your game on Tuesday. Glad you had a great time Lola! Our tickets are in Section 120B behind home plate. I hope you’re right about Judge! I hope your good luck transfers over to us! Like I said to bumper I think it will be a low scoring game based on the pitching matchup but we will pull out a close one! Wow... that's a nice ticket! As you know I'm sure...give yourself extra time to get in and get in your seat. We made it just in time to hear the SSB and pre game ceremonies. I would suggest using gate 2. We walked around the stadium and it was pretty chaotic! Gate 2 was most definitely the way to go!

Yankees tonight RISP: 0-7 Score: 5-2 Yankees
That first stat needs to improve if they want to win it all. Actually they were 2-9, since when Soto and Stanton are up, they're always in scoring position!

Weaver is indeed a hoot! But sorry, not feeling Dream Weaver for his music. The shut-em-down closer is supposed to have some hard sounding music that pumps the fans up! That song ... yeah I get it, his IG tag is even dream weaver ... but come on, man.

But if I see the CLEAR lane is jammed I will swing over to Gate 2.

once again, just a great start by rodon. hard to be more dominant. 25 swings and misses on 93 pitches. and if you take away the first and last ABs to kwan & ramirez (18 pitches w no swing & miss). he had 25 misses on 75 pitches. a third of his pitches. 9 Ks of 19 batters on an average of just under 4 pitches/AB against a team that's hard to strike out. that's ridiculous.
continue to marvel at weaver. guy had a 6.77 ERA when cashman picked him off the scrap heap after he had been DFA'd by the mariners and DFA'd earlier in the season by the reds. even this season had a 5.91 ERA after his first 6 games. was probably pretty close to be being DFA'd again. then something clicked. now he's one of the reasons we're in the position we are.
as for holmes, another cashman "dumpster" dive. had a 5.57 career ERA when we got him from the pirates and he immediately thrived in the setup role here. got bumped up to closer when chapman faltered and actually has had some good runs. 2 all star teams. generally starts off quite good before something gets out of whack. even this season, went 20 games w/o allowing an earned run and 13 out of 14 in saves. then wheels came off again. and no sugarcoating, couldn't be a worse closer. now he's on one of those runs again back in the setup role. has great stuff when he can harness it.
so far the offense sputtering in the PS. 7 hits/game, averaging 3.4 runs/game. mets by contrast averaging 5 runs/game. looking at the PS going forward, judge is showing signs of breaking out. obviously we're a different team when he's rolling. jazz has really been struggling and needs to settle down and not try to do too much. wells also needs to pick it up.

And let's hear it for Holmes, who's suddenly turned into one of the best setup relievers in the game! Which is what he was....just before they made him closer. Exactly.

alright 1-0 with our ace tomorrow. not much offense. continued the walkathon we've been on the this PS. helped by a couple wild pitches and bases loaded walks. rodon pitched like the pitcher we thought we got. 9 Ks and 25 swing & miss in 6 innings. definitely potg. honorables include soto whose HR started it off. another hit. on base 3 out of 4. weaver also honorable w a 5 out save when the game could have slipped away. stanton makes the list w an insurance HR, a walk and 2 runs scored and 2 other just misses as he continues his hot PS hitting. holmes also threw another scoreless inning. some great catches by judge. and wells for throwing out a few strike 3s and just keeping rodon settled. Honorable mention to the Yankee team for showing plate discipline.

If anything stood out like a sore thumb from last night's game, it was Cleveland's catchers inability to block wild pitches....5 of them! What would the final score be if there hadn't been any wild pitches?
