What a stupid pitch by Bibee! Stanton gets one lone strike to hit and deposits it into the cheaper seats! Exactly even though Rizzo is hitting almost .400 this series he hasn't hit many hrs lately plus Stanton is slow so scoring from first isn't likely. So prob shoulda just walked Stanton and took your chances. |

Unbelievable!! Bibee makes a small mistake, and leaves the slider where Stanton can reach it, in the zone low and away, and he crushes it again!!! Postseason Giancarlo does it again, 2 run HR to left center ties the game at 2! And for all the good things the Guardians have done through 5 1/2 innings, Yankee power equalizes anyway!  |

not complaining but that was just a terrible pitch. stanton demolished it. 446 ft. we start over. battle of the bullpens.

I know I will be in the minority here, but I think with a little work in the off-season, Leiter could be an effective reliever. His K rate is already excellent. I believe a change in pitch mix does it. He only needs one pitch, like a knuckleballer, but he throws only the splitter…Kahnle II… |

Chisholm falls behind 0-2, takes a splitter outside at the knees, 1-2
Takes a splitter just outside above the waist, 2-2
FB at the high outside corner, swung under for the K, inning over.
Bottom 6, 2-2.
It'll be interesting to see what Boone does here, Leiter threw 24 pitches yesterday.
J.Naylor, Noel and B.Naylor for the Guardians in their half of the 6th inning.
