Sinker at the top in the middle, but he's late, fouls it off, 1-1
Slider in the zone down and in, hits it to fairly deep center, but it got in on him a little and he didn't get all of it, Edman goes back a few steps, catches a few steps from the track, inning over.
Bottom 7, 4-1 Dodgers.
Rojas, then back to the top for Ohtani and Betts for the Dodgers in their half of the 7th inning.

Excellent job by Yamamoto. Yankees were off balance all night, waving at breaking balls and watching fastball strikes right down the pipe. Lot of guessing wrong. There didn't appear to be a team approach against the Japanese rookie. Spot on |

yesterday the key game I think. Hard to win with a team that hits this poorly in the play offs. They've won 7 of their last 11 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7 of 10, technically, unless you're counting this as a loss already. Unless you're going back to 2022. |

Holmes stays in for Rojas, at least.
Takes a sinker in the zone low/away, 0-1
Chases a slider low/away 0-2
Takes a slider bounced outside, 1-2
Poorly located slider below and inside middle, but he misses, fouls it off.
Spikes a 97 sinker over the inner half of the plate, 2-2
Same bad location on a slider, bounced foul off 3rd.
FB low, outer half, from 0-2 to 3-2.
Takes his timeout
Good sinker dives well inside, gets a swing over for the K, 1 down.

Same bad sinker a bit higher, taken, 2-0
Throw that bad slider below and outside middle now. I dare you.
Better slider a few inches low and outside, swing and a miss, 2-1
Sinker into the very top of the zone, outer 3rd, taken, called a ball, 10% on Gameday, bit of a bad call, 3-1
Sinker misses low/away, lays off it, ball 4.
