Maybe Smoltz will stop calling Soto a supporting player. I wish Judge would be a supporting player at this point. In my opinion, he has to be if the Yankees are going to get back in the series. He's uppercutting too much and is opening up too fast. Some players can still get a hit if they do one of those things, but usually not both.

The bonehead move by Boone last night compounds itself as he used up his pitchers. If not for his move the Yanks would be playing with house money now. The silver lining is maybe this is Boone’s last year. Can't know that for sure, because there's no way of knowing how Hill or another pitcher might have pitched.

I will never root for anyone to be injured. Rather beat these guys with Ohtani. Well said!

Last line: "Let's hide in the cemetery!" Also, the look on the "killer"'s face, after he lifts the mask is just all-time classic. It's one of the few commercials during this post season that I don't mind seeing. Yeah, it's funny. I used to love watching the Breakstone (Sam Breakstone) cottage cheese commercials in the 1980's.

The series is over after game one, the series is over after game 2. Wow! I hesitate to criticize anyone, but I find it extremely annoying.
I wouldn't want some of you to have my back in a ally fight or in a foxhole. Why do some fans even watch the game or root for the Yankees? SHEESH!

Why did you swing at that? Not a competitive pitch. Exactly. I was hoping that Volpe would lay off the outside pitch.

Jose Trevino is pinch hitting for Austin Wells Trevino had a good swing, but I was hoping that Boone was going to let Dominguez pinch hit.

I was hoping Yankees to leave LA with one win. This is not good to lose both games. Both games could have been won! It's gonna be a long plane ride back to NY! True, both games could have went either way.

Big men shouldn't stealing to beef their stats Judge is a perfect 10 for 10 stealing this season ... fortunately he doesnt steal often. I'm not impressed at all with 50 steals with the new rules Ricky Henderson might go 200 for 200 if he played with these rules That said Ohtani is very lucky that this was not his pitching shoulder

I dislike Smoltz, but he was right. Volpe's approach that at bat was completely wrong. Had to keep the front hip in, step into the slider away and try to slap it to right. No doubt his mechanics are back to his slumping ways; however, pitch recognition is another thing. I am a firm believer in making a pitcher throw a strike with the bases loaded. Just about every pitch to him finished off the plate. Poor plate discipline in that at bat.

I think many of us underestimate the movement of pitches thrown by many of today's MLB pitchers. Keep in mind...every hitter who's reached the ML level has always been a very good hitter. Hitters have < 1/2 a second, less than a blink of the eye, to decide whether to swing or take. What looks like a strike in 1/2 that time could end up a foot off the plate.

Injuries happen. But it's still easier to get hurt sliding head first.

Ohtani's injury was due to a poor slide, jamming his hand into the ground while trying to slide into 2nd. That didn't happen because he slid feet first. In fact, it's way more common for such an injury to happen when sliding head first, than what happened to Ohtani. That was just a freak accident.
