Smoltz is a clown. Dodger Stadium is just as good as a hitters park as Yankee Stadium if not better. He's right about the Porch, it does allow a lot more HRs, but he always forgets about the left center to center Death Valley, which takes HRs away. |

Sinker misses up and away, not close, ball 1 to Betts.
Sinker 4-5 inches outside, 2-0, Hill loading the gun pointed at him...
Sinker outside, Betts chases, tapper to short, to slow to turn two, and Volpe gets the force just ahead of Ohtani sliding in. 1st and 3rd, 1 down for that man again...Freeman.
Sinker away, grounded to Torres, they get the force at 2nd, the call is out at 1st, but the Dodgers challenge and this one will be overturned, and Edman scoring from 3rd will count, making the score 5-4. He's pretty clearly safe on replay, bad call by the 1st base ump.

He's safe. Volpe hesitated for a split second and it cost him. Torres had to rush the toss, and it was a bit loopy and Volpe had to catch and come down before getting off the relay. Just a tough turn. |
