I don't understand this like way too early. I think he’ll use Weaver for the 8th and if he gets them down in order he’ll go to Kahnle in the 9th for the bottom. I think….

time for Judge to make us all feel better and hit one out Wouldn't hurt. Edit: actually, I just want to see him hit a ball HARD somewhere. Anywhere. If it's a HR, so much the better.

I don't understand this like way too early. As a couple of posters said and it makes sense. Weaver is in to pitch to the heart of the order. Just struck out Betts, next Freeman, Hernandez and Muncy in the 8th..

Some 4-D chess by Boone there. I'm as critical of Boone's often mystifying decisions as anyone, but I agree with him bucking convention there. Use your closer against their best hitters.

I don't understand this like way too early. he wants weaver to face the heart of the order. get him through the 8th and then i guess kahnle gets the 9th and the bottom of the order.

Knack stays in the game. Judge leads off.

We haven't used Mayza. I hope we don't get a penalty for not playing all the kids. Or Stroman

Takes a FB on the edge of the zone away, <5% on Gameday. Curve low/away, taken, 1-1 Curve bounced outside, 2-1 FB backed over the low outside corner, at 94, taken, 2-2 Tries the same thing, waist high, misses, and Judge doesn't chase, 3-2 Hanging curve inside, and Judge gets it up toward the trademark, high fly to center is hit fairly well, but it's just an out. K. Hernandez catches, 1 down.

Another ball he should have crushed.

FB in the zone up and away, popped to left, Teoscar comes in, then goes to the ground dramatically to catch. 2 down.

Stanton takes a slider well low, ball 1. Takes a FB that clips the low outside corner, Stanton gets a break, not called, 2-0, 40-50% on Gameday. Bad call and I'll take that one, too. Fb waist high, inner 3rd, fouled. Slider low and away taken, 3-1. Slider hanging above and inside middle, lined hard to fairly deep left, but T. Hernandez is playing right there, catches, inning over. 117.3 off the bat and an XBA of .830 on the Stanton lineout.
Too far. Yanks go quietly (and loudly) in the 7th, 1-2-3. Knack at just 56 pitches for his 4 innings.
3-4-5 for the Dodgers in the 8th: Freeman, T. Hernandez and Muncy.
