IF you look at the year Wells was more consistent. I really forgot how dominate Gil was in the 1st half of the season then after the injury the team messed around with him. Hopefully he is healthy and ready to go with no limitations next season. I think Wells was consistent from a defensive point of view but not offensively. I didn't take the time to look up the stats but he started slow, got hot in the middle part of the season and then struggled again to end the season.

Decent rookie year, but hard to build a case for him as ROY. The voters got it right…

not sure they let andujar "rot". he had a labrum tear coming out of ST in his sophomore season. from my understanding, that's one of the more difficult injuries to come back from. in any case, he was never the same after. seemed to lose his power. he continued to be plagued by injuries after that.
and for sure some guys never panned out. peraza & florial being two recent examples. but judge came through the system as did luis severino. and we got a couple good seasons from gary sanchez before he flamed out. not sure gleyber counts but he burst onto the scene as a rookie for us in 2018.
now of course we have schmidt, wells, volpe and gil w durbin waiting in the wings. one problem we have, is we always get a bottom position in the draft. but we certainly have had our share of busts but we've also had some successes.

Yep. And, for an organization who's player development gets criticized from time to time.....I can't remember the last time the Yankees didn't have at least 1 of their prospects picked in the Rule 5 Draft.
