[img style="max-width:100%;" alt=" " src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/fcnNQOhDRpAUbgaHxUdZ.gif" class="smile"] So far michcusejoe has replied saying he's been busy but he'll come by. And Numbers has been busy with his practice (I think he's a doctor?) but he'll stop by next week. I’m still around. I’ve been training for a race so lately all of my free time has been spent running and listening to the Yankees, so I haven’t had a chance to jump on the game threads. Hopefully I can get in on some game threads with you guys soon. Sounds good, bleed! What distance is the race?

Sounds good, bleed! What distance is the race? 24 hours. 200km is my stretch goal but I’d probably be ok if I have to settle for 100 miles/160km.

I was going to ask bleedpinstripes if he was training for a marathon and then I saw his response above. Good luck with your training!

Bleed is crazy. Are you sure you're running bleed and not biking all those miles? Yeah, 200K in 24 HRs is amazing. They just ran the Boston Marathon this morning in terrible waether and that's "only" 42K.

My father in law was diagnosed with prostate cancer about two years ago so I decided to start training for a prostate cancer charity 5k. It meant a lot to him, so when he passed away before the race I decided the best way to honor that was to push this thing as far as I can. Who knows, if the 24 hour race goes well I might shoot for a 48 hour race next.

He was a Cubs fan, so at least he got to see them win it all before he went out. We took a trip to Wrigley a few years ago and he got a chance to sit where Harry Caray sat and stand where Ernie Banks stood which was pretty cool. He would have loved watching Judge play though. He loved Jeter and seeing someone with the soul of Jeter in the body of a giant would have cracked him up.

Great story, there bleed...Geez, this running thing is incredible. I'm still a strong walker, but running? Ouch! Very admirable that you took your father in law so close to your heart. I'm sure that meant a lot to your wife...

The qualifying time to even get accepted into the BM is right about 3 hours for men in my age group. I run for distance, but I don't do it at that speed.
