So glad we're out of whack ass Cleveland at least. Brantley and Ramirez were the difference in this series. Ramirez is the second best player in baseball this year I think after Trout.

Ahhh, spit. Hated to see them blow this game...Guess i’ll Go do something productive. It rained last night. For the first time in my life I found out why they used to show the pioneers drop to their knees crying in thanks for rain in the movies. We’re getting a bit more rain right now. Maybe Colorado will stop burning if this keeps up...

It's been nuts this year. Last year was the rainiest in many years. This year it's playing catch up in reverse...

Oh, like I get it now, man... I was busy listening to my old Doobie Brothers 8-tracks when I read that the first time...Who knew dry rot would take this long???
I will tell you, you don't want to be caught tossing a butt of any kind out the window right now...People are rightfully nervous. Although, the attention was quickly stolen today by the flash floods from the rains...Some of the mountain areas are calling for rain again tomorrow...So the places that have burned are also subject to mud and rock slides. They'd have to slide about 50 miles to get to our house, but we do have some low-lying areas. We're fortunate, we're up fairly high for this area of desert...

Little town called Pueblo West, which ironically is just west of Pueblo... Sounds like some 70's soft rock band from California.

People around here don't care much for Californians. It has to do with people that migrated away from California to escape the California housing market and wound up making high offers on properties that pushed the real estate market up higher here. They also experienced a great influx of people from Texas that did the same. Little do they know that real estate is much higher STILL in most of the country than it is here. The same with their electricity rates. We all bitch, but we're paying about 25%-45% less than many folks on the east coast. I can only imagine what they're paying on the west coast.
The one thing that is quite high here is automobile insurance. I assume that the dirt roads with rocks flying up into windshields is a contributing factor, not to mention hail storms that can decimate an entire car. The eastern plains north and east of us will sometimes get softball sized hail. That's some serious sh*t coming down at you. I hope I never see it. The biggest I've seen so far is the size of a quarter, and that makes a hell of a racket...
But yes. I think the guys with Pueblo West jammed with the Eagles, may have even opened for them a time or two. In fact, if they had been just a little more creative they might have succeeded. They just missed with:
"A Little Inn In California" "Take It Close To The Limit" "Deceptive Eyeballs" "I've Left Already" "Itchy Woman"...Which got considerable play in Kentucky due to their familiarity with the subject...

Nah, I'm going to wait until I grow up first... But, for now...it's off to work I go. Gotta find some business...
