Sale is out with shoulder inflammation I'll definitely trade Happ's hand and mouth disease for Sale's shoulder inflammation. you beat me to that one...

excellent play....yeah, he is a real defensive liability at third, isn't he?.....it seems to be clear that the Yankees see him as a fixture for some time....

yes. Trumbo doesn’t run well, but that was still a nice play. Sometimes a rookie forgets who’s running on a play like that and still rushes his throw. Nice to see he went to his right well and took his time to make a strong and accurate throw...That play wasn’t in his tool box earlier this season...Hard work is paying off...

It would have been really upsetting if they dealt him for a couple months of Machado. If they really want Machado and want to shuffle the infield around, target him in the offseason. This team's weakness is/was starting pitching, so the only thing I would give up a top prospect for in a WS run would be an ace. deGrom is the only one available that would be worth it, I think.

Machado's insistence on playing SS is also a concern for a team like the Yankees too. Didi is a considerably better SS than him. It would cause a huge disturbance in the infield and would leave them much worse defensively I think. My guess is they would have to shift Didi to 2B, and put a terrible defensive Machado at SS just to be able to get his bat in the lineup. He's a gold glove third basemen, so I don't know why he wants to play SS so bad... it seems like it will actually hurt his value, potentially.

Just a nice, smooth relaxed DP there by the Yankees. This defense is so much better than it was earlier in the season...

Tanaka hasn't given up a run since his start against Cleveland, when Ramirez got to him. That was 16.3 innings ago. That was also the only inning Cleveland scored on Tanaka.

He wants to play SS because he’s a punk that thinks his talent makes him bigger than the team. The Orioles should have refused to let him play there, especially on a contract year. That was a chance for Buck to man up and say that HE makes the line up, and HE would decide who plays where. Then Manny would have either played third or pouted and perhaps demanded a trade. My personal opinion is that the Oriole team was a better team than the way they played, and that when they gave in to Manny that did something to the mood in the clubhouse and motivation of the rest of the team. They weren’t going to contend this year no matter what, but they were capable of 75-80 wins before MannyGate... No Manny in NY, please. NEVER. Especially as the SS...
