We have to do it TONIGHT...Tank vs. Price. Currently Tank is our best pitcher...Chance did just OK for his first start. Do Not give up on Chance Yet.
Tequila says the Yanks WIN Tonight...

Problem is price is either really good against the Yankees or really bad. I've seen both.

Problem is price is either really good against the Yankees or really bad. I've seen both. This rivalry has spawned and spanned so many oddities that one can never quite tell what’s going to happen. Huge comebacks and collapses, seasons where the visiting team won almost every game and vice versa. I seem to recall one season where the Sox won the first eight or nine games between the teams and the Yankees won the last eight or nine. You never quite know what to expect. Pedro throws a 17 strike out one-hitter, and then later he proclaims the Yankees his “Daddy”... (Sort of like the Price situation, but we handle Price well most of the time)... Over fifty games left. Anyone could go out with an injury or slump for either team...Yes, it looks like the fight is for a wild card spot again, and while that’s disappointing I just want to see the fight back in this team... the 9th inning yesterday provides hope...

Glad I was out of town these past five days and missed the Wednesday game against the Baltimore and the first three games of this disastrous series.
Now that I'm back in Chicago, the Yankees can start winning again, please!

Can't remember the last time I saw Gardner bat 7th. Voit in the 6 hole. For the record, Gardner has batted in the 7th slot 161 times in his career and owns a career best .316/.416/.421 (.837) average from that slot. For the further record, his worst career average and OBP occur when he bats 9th, as that handy 2nd lead off man that Boone admires so much...But, no...he doesn't bat 7th much, and he doesn't seem to fit the role...

For the further record, Voit has batted sixth more than any other line up spot, 39 times and has one of his 5 career HR from that slot...He's hit .200 as a starter and .286 off the bench...
