I don’t recall the celebrations stopping last year. Perhaps I missed something??? Yea they didnt do it in the 3 ALCS games for whatever reason. I dunno why. Probably canceled by the same group of middle managers who enforce the team regulations on hair length and facial hair. |

I realize he is a backup first baseman but Walker can do that and Torreyes can play the other infield positions. He also batted .323 in 65 plate appearance. Nothing in Voit's history suggests he will ever do that. Just a question! [ Nothing in Torreyes’s history suggested that he would have been able to do it either. Let’s not get all Sterling and Waldman about Torreyes. He’s a backup utility infielder that makes contact and doesn’t hit for power. We are lucky to have him in case someone better gets injured but that’s it. It would be incorrect to assume that I am "getting all Sterling and Waldman" about Torreyes. As an admitted non expert I was just asking for opinions, not suggesting his enshrinement into the Hall of Fame! |
