The umps have really been whipping Gardner’s ass this season for some reason. I know he seems to be getting quite vocal with them, but this is one of those chicken or egg issues. Did the bitching start first on pitches that were strikes, or is it getting worse the more he bitches at the balls??? Gardner gets the worst calls next to Judge.  |

Long story short it appears that Kay fumbled his words when asked about the injured players unexpectedly, and he offered an apology the following day. The story flamed out after that. |
