The great Harry Kalas on the call of that first clip. Legendary voice. I could watch all those old NFL films clips for days. I had a hairy callous once. Doctor burned it off and all was well… Wait for it. Here comes Rizzuto. Slap his ass in horny jail if he does it. Wait for it… wait for it…

Two of my favorite highlights from the 1990 Giants tape I used to watch over and over again:
Leonard Marshall was born in Franklin, Louisiana, not that far from where I grew up. Marshall also attended LSU.

Yep, Aaron Donald took care of that opportunity. Actually, I was more upset that on second down an one yard, they didn’t run the ball, then follow on third down (if unsuccessful) or first down with a play action pass. Instead, they ran on third and one with Perine (instead of Mixon), which made no sense. Then, fourth and one, they line up in the shotgun for an obvious pass, which allowed Donald to disregard any run. I wasn’t happy with much of the play calling (zero screen passes and almost no slants) to offset the weak offensive line. The last series was especially troubling.

Yea, you'd think they'd run some screens to disrupt the timing of the Rams linemen at the very least or some slants with those talented receivers. Puzzling indeed.

Exactly, Boyd is sure-handed and JaMarr Chase can line up anywhere. Higgins is 6’4”. Mixon has great hands and is a weapon on screen plays. I am not enamored with the Bengals’ coach. Allowing Burrow to be sacked 70 times (season and playoffs), after having his knee torn up last season was criminal. Sean Payton would have had Burrow releasing the ball quickly and passing on first down to set up the run, then take big shots with play action.

Here’s the third flagged play in the Red Zone on the Rams’ last drive, in which the officials suddenly decided to change the manner in which the game had been called for 58 minutes prior: Up to that drive, there were three total penalties in the game: unsportsmanlike conduct (inactive player ran on the field during TD celebration), a false start, and delay of game.

Watch the officials allow offsides on the entire offensive line on the third and one (holding call play):

You assume that’s a bad thing for Rodgers, but I sure would have been better off in 1972 if my ex had called things off. It might have hurt for a while, but in the long run… But life goes how it goes. There are no redoes. Maybe Rodgers is dodging a bullet…
