Tough man to replace, but at least if they can just “maintain” while he’s gone they can stay in the race...
Colts aren’t ever going have Luck back... ):
I sort of like Brissett, though. Mobile quarterbacks have always been interesting to watch...But his arm is not exactly scary. T.Y. Hilton’s going to have to catch a lot more short throws...

Ouch for Rizzuto. Brees out six weeks. Huge loss. As great as Brees is, I think he’s still under appreciated. I put him up there with Brady in terms of value to the team. Brady, like most QBs gets outsized extra respect for winning SBs. For example, Eli, who is not a good QB and never was, is discussed as being a HOF candidate, which is silly. There aren’t many QBs I would think of as equal to Brady but Brees is one of them, really smart and reliable. Bridgewater is a capable backup but that’s still a huge drop off.

Antonio Brown out: Pats cut WR amid off-field allegations
The New England Patriots released embattled wide receiver Antonio Brown on Friday, less than two weeks after signing him.
"We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time," the team said in a statement.

The Pats didn't even need Brown, as soon as he became too much of a distraction, he was gone.

He doesn’t deserve it but I hope they don’t get out of paying him the signing bonus for that stupid deal. They should have a price to be for being so dumb and reckless.

Do you think he was released because Belichick was tired of answering questions? It was one of my thoughts.

Do you think he was released because Belichick was tired of answering questions? It was one of my thoughts. I would guess that a part of signing him would have been discussion about maintaining a certain standard of comportment. An instant violation of those standards showed that he’s going to do whatever he wants and be a distraction... Besides, the Patriots have enough “stars”. Who needs another...

Do you think he was released because Belichick was tired of answering questions? It was one of my thoughts. Maybe but more likely this is it. He was due $5m on Monday and with the latest nonsense now he has to chase them for it if he wants it. Never should have touched him in the first place but I am glad he’s gone.

Does that mean he missed a meeting or a team obligation without prior permission?

No, I take it to mean he knew he was engaged in conduct subject to suspension when he signed the contract.
