Love the choreography. I've often thought that at least in the short term, resurrecting some of these discarded offensive sets could be effective against a defense that had never seen them. The Power I, the Split T, the Wishbone. Student Body Right. Anything this side of The Flying Wedge. Which I would love to see until the lawsuits began to fly.

Technical difficulties... don't know if it's the board or an error on my end, but Twitter posts aren't showing up on the board.... Anyone else having trouble? There's 3 posts now that aren't showing up. Working fine on my end.

Kaybli, I never understood why the Fumblerooski was outlawed. Are you old enough to remember that one? I mainly associate it with Tom Osborne at Nebraska.
I'll bet our late friend Utahyank liked it.

Oh man, I love gimmick plays. The old Statue of Liberty or Flea Flicker still gets them out of their seats. I remember back in the 70s (I think) Texas A&M ran a play where the QB threw what looked like a one-bounce incomplete pass to the receiver, who kicked the ground in disgust and acted like the play was dead. Except the play was not a forward pass it was tecnically a lateral. The defense bought that it was incomplete and quit playing while the receiver sprang back to action and threw to a wide open teammate for a touchdown. Of course it helps to have a not very alert defense out there to make it work.

I would line up players in all different areas and put them in weird motions before the play. My brother used to get so mad
Who doesn't love a good Flea Flicker?

Let’s not forget Bum Phillips and the Bumerooski! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fumblerooski#Bumerooski“A variation of the play is known as the Bumerooski. The Bumerooski is named after former NFL head coach Bum Phillips. In this variation a handoff is made to a player between his legs. This play is still legal in the NFL and NCAA as the ball never touches the ground.”

If he had really wanted to duplicate that play, he should have done it on black and white... (:

If he had really wanted to duplicate that play, he should have done it on black and white... (: Maybe he doesn’t interview well or something but he seems like someone that should get a HC opportunity.
