Boone has decided that since we won't have Shane for long, he'll wear him out. He doesn't need rest because when the chips are down, he'll be gone...That Boone. Always two or three weeks ahead of the rest of us. It's like the man is a chess player...Let's see, I'll put my BEST center fielder in LEFT field, where I usually play him. I'll bench my second best center fielder, and then I'll start my third string center fielder who is actually a sixth outfielder on most teams in the starting line up. Then, I'll put a career infielder in right field, while also playing my third string catcher, who is batting under .200 in to start the game...
Now, if I could only find a way to sit Lance Lynn today and start Romine at pitcher. I'd have a catcher throwing to another catcher, which to me makes perfectly good sense, since they'll each know what the other one is thinking. I have to make sure that I align these guys in a way that Bird bats fifth, because he's 0 for his last 200 or so at bats. He did hit two long outs a week or so ago, so I can smell it. I can get him going...CHECKMATE! The Rangers will never see this coming...
As much as I am still not a firm believer in Walker, given this group of players, I could see moving him up to second today and dropping everyone else down a notch to lengthen the line up. That bottom three is not going to provide for much today unless Higgy runs into a fastball and Shane has a sugar fit...

It is negligent to keep running Shane Robinson out there, however I do not put Boone at total fault. He doesn't make the roster and clearly some other guys are banged up. Why Tyler Wade and Ronald Torreyes are still in AAA is beyond me, as well as not making some sort of waiver/AAA type move for another OFer. Realistically we are gonna be at least another 2-3 weeks without Judge, Sanchez, or Frazier. We need some form of reinforcements asap.
