Down to 7 and we have the White Sox and Tigers in the Bronx this week. Would be nice to have it at 4 or 5 going into September. I’m trying to hold out hope lol

Snell is pitching tomorrow for Tampa vs. Eovaldi for Boston. If Snell is sharp, the Yankees could have a chance to reduce the loss column to five.

Boston’s history when leading heading into September is not good...Let’s hope history repeats. That one single bad stretch they had early on the season that let us catch up is really the only extended slump they’ve had. Most unusual. Perhaps they’re poised to collapse, one never knows. Perhaps we’re poised to come alive...one never knows about that, either...

Gray's splits are about as extreme as you can find:
3.09 ERA on the road and a 7.32 at Yankee Stadium. It's hard to believe it's the same pitcher, so while not one of the best in league, Gray is very good when he's not pitching in the Bronx.
