It’s simply called losing ugly...that’s all it can be called...All of the effort that Boone has taken to protect his roster from injury and late season ineffectiveness has seemed instead to make it a magnet for injury and late season ineffectiveness... Sometimes, you just need to play the game today and win today. Let tomorrow take care of itself. It’s not guaranteed anyway...

What a shame....Yankees have been playing just above .500 for awhile...against a lot of bad teams. Why bring in Kahnle when a better version of him was getting torched? Why bring in Tarply when you nearly took the lead on Bird's warning track fly? Why leave your best hitter on the bench with the game within reach? I’m about ready to give up on Kahnle. Without the plus fastball he’s not a very good pitcher.

According too Josh Bard, Stanton was available for pinch hitting duties, but they only wanted to use him if the Yanks had a chance to win the game. I guess bases loaded in the 8th and down 3 runs didn't qualify.

Without the plus fastball he’s not a very good pitcher. In time he may get that fastball back. They rushed him back into MLB service. Now that it's September there's no reverse gear in that decision...I hope they let him sit in the pen and entertain others a lot for the rest of the season...Maybe next year...
