Warren since the trade:
13 G. 13 IP 13H 5 R 8 K. 8 BB
2-0; 3.46. 1 HR
So... meh...I like Warren, but a middle reliever is not going to make or break a season...

This is such a different team without Judge. Just his presence, patience, 3-2 counts, defense in right, and especially how well he hits at home in Yankee Stadium.

Then again, he's better than some the relievers in the Yankee pen, guys that are costing the team games. That is surely part of the equation, but there are so many other issues right now. Inconsistent work from the bullpen stalwarts, poor defensive play. Offense only in spurts, then it seems to black out. The starting pitching has plenty of blips right now, and hitting in the clutch seems to be out of the question...It seems the worse the opponent, the worse the team plays... Very strange team right now...Missing Judge, Didi, Sanchez and the expected production from Bird has devastated the team so much that we can only be thankful for that early season spurt that got us here as well as the collapse of several teams that have given chase briefly...

When you consider defense and offense, Judge & DiDi are the two most important players on the team. Having them both out at the same time for an extended period of time has really hurt. Then Chapman's absence has hurt the pen. They need to get their guys back.

Thankfully, the freight train running out of Oakland has slowed down...as the one earlier charming out of Seattle did...Tampa has put forth a great effort given their roster, but no one really thought they’d move up on us, right?...

Judge at home for his career: .329/.450/.713/1.163 The least replaceable player on the team, that’s for certain...Add him to the lineup in this series and the dynamics change so dramatically...

The Tigers ability to make contact has led to a barrage of very fortunate base hits. Seems that’s one of the missing elements too often in the Yankee offense...We seem to have to slug em’ to get em’...The old Woody Held hitting theory, “Swing hard in case you hit the ball”...

Just looking at Jeter's career numbers in September/October: .316/.392/.443/.835 Not bad to have a shortstop hit like that down the stretch...an average...over nearly 20 years.
