Tough break, that's a HR for McCutchen in almost every ballpark in the league except Yankee Stadium.

Mikie Mahtook is 28 years old and still chooses to be called Mikie. I suppose that’s all right, but I think I’d opt for Mike or Michael at that point in life if not way before...This is coming from someone with a son named Michael who doesn’t like to be called Mikie (or Miggy)...

wow...the new guys brought gloves to the game... The narrative on McCutchen is that he’s no longer a plus defender. I wonder if it’s not in some ways a negative toward narrative if you were once tremendous and are now only “good”? Not being plus doesn’t necessarily mean being bad. If he’s still about average, he’ll make some excellent plays and some poor ones along the way. I don’t see Andruw Jones out there when I see him running...

Just think, how good Andujar would be if he learns just a little plate discipline? He gave that at bat away.

I wish Lynn had a change up against lefties.

How about Mick? He’s not a Yankee fan, but he seemed okay with Mick...He’s wheel chair bound. A big fan of wrestling, the pro-style. In fact, he follows guys that are working small arenas trying to work their way up to jobber status where they get the thrill of being beat up by the stars. For some reason there are huge numbers of wheel chair bound people at those matches. I think it allows them to live vicariously through the physical fitness and athleticism of the wrestlers, and they can empathize with the culture of coming up just short of stardom... I got so sick of wrestling through the years that it made me about want to puke. I imagine he was about that sick of the Yankees. He really doesn’t get much out of baseball or football...

Looks like one of Voit's cross necklaces sliced his chin open. I was thinking either jam or salsa...

He still has some to go. I still wouldn’t want to try to turn him too passive, because he can hit just about any pitch...
