Another blast from Voit ties the game. the longer this goes, the better I feel about 1B.....hope it's not spoiled by the clock striking midnight... I don't know how long it will last, but he's been a huge boost to the lineup.

Appears that voit and bird can never be hot at the same time for whatever reason. Bird had a good stretch around when voit got here while voit was ice cold now it's the opposite.

Boone brings in the worst pitcher on the team into a one run game and bad things happen, shocking.

Why AJ Cole in this situation? Just why? Why is he even on the roster?

Why AJ Cole in this situation? Just why? Why is he even on the roster? Because they kept him over Warren.

Don't run in that situation down 2 runs.

Why AJ Cole in this situation? Just why? yeah *sigh*…………….I haven't understood the philosophy of an apparent "giving up on games"....if that's not really his philosophy, it often seems to play out that way....the frequent "resting" of hitters earlier in the season at the expense of having some abject holes in the lineup was supposed to accomplish what?.....a rested team that were lights out in August and September?....how did that work? It's not all Boone's fault of course....the team has such talent that they are going to win a lot of games despite the managing, the injuries, and some key player underperformances....with some better starters and those mentioned problems not as acute next year....it could be a great season...

To Boone, a one run deficit is the same as being blown out.
Cole turns a one game into a three run game.

I still think they can win the World Series this season. They haven't had a fully healthy team in a while and they were keeping up with Boston when they were full strength. The team seems to also play better against above .500 teams. Having said that I still don't see the need for divisions in pro sports anymore. The Yankees appear to be on a pace for about 100 wins and they are going to have to play the majority of their games in the playoffs away even though it's likely 3 of the other 4 teams in the playoffs won't reach 100 wins. They need to finish the season 14-11 to reach 100 wins.

The remodeled Sanchez makes it to first base on a K. He also best out a DP grounder in his first game back the other day that he wouldn’t have been safe on before his exile...
I think the time off was good for his body, and hopefully his head. A little sting to the ego was needed, IMO...
