Is there any pitch the Yankee hitters won’t chase, especially in pressure situations? You can predict that Stanton will chase breaking balls away with two strikes and that Sanchez can’t/won’t lay of high heat out of the zone. Comical really. The kid, Torres is probably the guy you want up in a huge situation.

Only 76 innings for Jonny so far this year. Can he get a couple of starts??? I think CC is toast, guys. I know, he’s still good when he’s right, but’s a scary situation...I hope Severino is on the way back to his top game. Tanaka has looked good lately. Happ and Lynn are what they are, stopgaps that will have good and bad days. We may need to try a return of Gray. And a bit of youth stepping in might be nice...The question is, who do they replace?...This is a very unstable rotation at this point...Four of the five in our rotation are the kind that can have a strong game or completely blow a game up in a hurry...

I doubt they'll pull the plug on CC but I'd replace Lynn with Gray. Sevy Tanaka Happ CC Gray

Why no love for Happ? 5-0 1.096 WHIP 131 ERA+ Historically when Happ is off his game he gets bombed. Luckily, we haven’t seen that side of him yet. I hope we don’t see it...a couple of rough starts played a big role in his arrival here with an ERA north of 4.00. Maybe he got all of that out of his system before he got here this year...

CC is pretty unpredictable. Hes not that 8 inning guy he used to be or the one who had a bunch of CG. 6 innings seems to be max for him lately. That would be fine if our other starters were giving length, but what happens when you have a whole rotation of starters who arent giving consistent length? This is what happened last year the "strong" bullpen got taxed pretty bad and were worn out the deeper the playoffs got. I mean between CC, Lynn, and Happ we have 3 #4-#5 starters. Severino and Tanaka have number 1 talent, but both have just been inconsistent. This offense needs to be more consistent as I am not sure with this rotation we can expect any 1-0 2-1 games if they keep this pace up. Hopefully getting Judge and Didi back helps. As far as Brett Gardner, this isnt the first time we have seen late season struggles with him.

Boone can you stop managing the bullpen like a doofus please? AJ Cole is NOT GOOD.
