...watching the post-game on YES....Jack Curry said that about 10 days ago Boone said something like "Performance matters....if you hit you will play"......that might have been in reference to Birds slump and the playing of Voit….anyway, I hope Boone doesn't try to get cute and try to get Bird going again....just go with the hot bat everywhere... Boone's middle name is "Get Cute" so look for him to sit Voit tomorrow. I forgot. The Red Sox gave Boone a different middle name.

God, I hope performance counts. Maybe he will apply that concept to Cole also.

Happy to wake up and see that the Yankees won this one. This was a big win, the pressure would have been on if they lost and the A's would be going for the sweep, this should take some of the pressure off.

I fell asleep too. Why was Happ pulled after 78 pitches? The Yankees had a long offensive inning, with tons of deep counts. Happ was pulled with the first base runner in case he had stiffened up. Man, they baby these guys...
