So, I missed being able to bitch, piss, and moan my way through this disaster. Thought we were going to sweep them after Stanton's slammer, but once again we played little league baseball and blew a game... Frustrating! We'll get em back in the ALDS! |

You better not make any stupid mistakes in the playoffs, Boone! His best chance for that is if the Yanks lose the one and done to Oakland. At least don't pull a Girardi by not taking on an obvious challenge. But no matter what he does as a manager, the biggest thing I will always hold against Aaron Boone was his fateful decision to play a pickup basketball game in January 2004. The injury he sustained opened the door for his fellow ESPN broadcaster A-Rod to come to the Yankees. I was perfectly willing to accept a lousy platoon of Mike Lamb, Miguel Cairo and Enrique Wilson at third until something else (besides A-Rod) came along. Would have been nice to sweep and make them drag their champagne and ski goggles to another town but Masa just didn’t have it last night. Also, is Chapman now our thirs or fourth best closer?
