I really wish they didn't get into these beanball wars right now though. Last thing we need now is an injury. I do agree with you and generally hate that. But, in this case I love what CC did. He threw a 2 seamer that ran inside and grazed someone. Kittredge threw a four seamer behind Romine’s head. That’s not ok. Cc didn’t hurt anyone, he nailed Sucre in his giant fat ass. Message delivered. Leave my catcher alone, assholes. I do love the sentiment from CC. And Kittredge is an asshat. But whats to stop the Rays from throwing at Judge next? Was it really worth it? I know the chances are small someone gets hurt. But its just not worth it. We have bigger goals than fighting with these idiot Rays.

Yeah. That’s what Cone thought and how it looked to me. Apparently looked that way to CC also. And he’s going to finish 1 inning short of a $500k contract bonus because of it. Thanks. Very strange. If he has a good manager he throws an inning in relief...or, he may refuse the inning so he can be playoff ready. Or, a goof GM might see the situation and allow payment...Or...maybe none on that will happen...

I would like the half million if CC does not want it. Which apparently he did not.

I would like the half million if CC does not want it. Which apparently he did not. Probably available to you if you can pitch 155 innings of baseball at the major league level. I’d recommend you hire an agent.

I think I could hit the batter if he did not move.

I admit I could not have seen this coming. My guess is he will go down like Bob "Hurricane" Hazel and Shane Spencer as an amazing late season, one season phenom. But maybe not. I sure hope he has a few good years ahead of him. He plays with such contagious joy and you can see that his teammates get a kick out of him. I loved when Cone said "the legend of Luke lives on." He looks like the guy on the Big Boy restaurant logo. And all of us will always remember him.

There's no way he can keep hitting at the level we've see the past month, but I think he can have a decent MLB career.

And no Karim Garcia to lead him astray!! I do wonder what the implications are for Greg Bird down the road. It's hard to even spot him on the bench, it's like he's sitting behind the large bags of sunflower seeds. But seriously, there is still value there, whether playing for the Yanks or somewhere else.
