I’m going to go with Andujar...

This is tough. No one Yankee really had a monster season like Mookie Betts/JD Martinez but everyone was solid (except Gary and Bird) and contributed to 100 wins. I'd like to give it to Andujar but his defense holds him back so despite the injury I'll give it to Judge who was second to Severino in total WAR for the season among Yankees:

I had a tough time deciding between Judge and Andujar. I would actually vote for a combo of Andujar/Torres. When they came up, the team became energized and younger. But, when Judge was hurt the team looked lost.

The Yankees are a different team without Judge, so I voted for him. I'd vote DiDi second because when he was injured, it's not only hurts the lineup but really affect the team defensively, there's a huge drop off when he's not at SS.

If Didi has not lost time to injury this season he most assuredly would have had his first 100-RBI season and perhaps hit 30 HR. Pretty remarkable how far he’s come as a hitter while retaining his defensive skills and nimbleness...

Im still going with Judge. He missed all the time but its clear as day how different this team is with and without him.

Looks like my vote for Andujar is going to be s lonely little fellow. That’s all right, though. Judge is THE MAN...The new Mr. Yankee...

Judge. Intangibles mean a lot.

I agree that it's a tough decision. I wound up going with Judge because it was clear the impact his loss had on the team, but I think a very good case can be made for Andujar and Didi, both of whom I am happy to see at bat in a big situation. Brownie points to Happ for stabilizing the rotation down the stretch and Voit for the jolt he gave this team after having a dead spot at first base for four months. But I find it hard to not vote for Aaron Judge, who has at least a shot at being one of the most important players the Yanks have ever had. Way too soon to make that call, but it's plausible.
Funny how despite the excellent power numbers he put up, Giancarlo Stanton hasn't come up in the conversation.

He really had a couple of long slumps though and looked lost at times. Everything will be forgiven if he has a good playoff run.

And I fully realize that calling an .852 OPS with 38 HRs good not great means the bar is set pretty high for him. But what do you expect after last year's MVP performance?

Many solid viewpoints thus far. Here is one of mine:
.301/.332/.573/.905
That is Miguel Andujar's slash line after Judge went on the DL. In those 56 games started, Andujar totaled 15 home runs, 16 doubles, 68 hits, and 51 RBI. Here's the interesting thing, he only scored 34 runs during that time.
For comparison, Stanton's slash line during that same period: .239/.335/.504/.839 including 15 home runs, 15 doubles, 54 hits, 39 RBI, and 41 runs scored. Both very good, but look at the difference in RBI and Runs Scored.
Also, Miggy wasn't particularly lucky during that time, having a BABIP of .294, while Stanton's BABIP was higher than his BA at .283.

The key for me was that Andujar had only short stretches when he didn't hit. He seemed to be the one guy we could count on all season long...
Lookit:
On May 1, he was hitting .287/.300/.552 On June 2, he was hittng .293/.312/.514 On July 1, he was hittng .282/.308/.513 On Aug 1, he was hitting .294/.326/.527 On Sep 1, he was hitting .297/.329/.526 Today? He's hitting .297/.329/.527
OPS by month? Mar/Apr 136, May 102, June 134, July 123, August 158 September 131. He's steadily kept improving, with his best stretch coming during the absence of Judge and Stanton's second slump...
