Good depth signing and CC gets to go out at as a Yankee but the team still needs a upgrade in the rotation either through free agency or via trade.

But I think it's reasonable to expect CC to do in 2019 what he did in 2018: league average or better for 140 innings, or so and be a great presence in the clubhouse. As a #5 starter, the Yanks could do worse for $8mil. Sheffield, Loaisiga, etc. provide depth. |

Ray, Corbin, Carrasco, Kluber...Somebody’s going be acquired in one way or another. Probably no one on that list, because Cashman is a stealth shopper... But somebody’s gonna be Yankee...

Now, sign Corbin, Eovaldi, and Happ. You can never have enough starting pitchers. After Sabathia retires next year, a rehabilitated Montgomery can slide back into the rotation.

Thank God, this weekend I picked-up two used wheelchairs that my workers are currently restoring/repairing.
As soon as they are finished, I will send them to the Yankees; One for Gardner & One for CC. I might throw-in a couple of Walkers & Crutches for other Retreads they might sign.
It would be like Google hiring two Blacksmiths to develop their Search Engine, etc.
If this was Mo (The Sandman) I could understand the move...but these moves are based on $$$ = STUPID.
Maybe the Yankees have found Religion and are praying for Miracles when it comes to these two signings???

Don't worry Dome, Cashman just signed two zygotes and has acquired the rights to 28 unfertilized eggs from a clinic in San Pedro de Macoris. It all balances out.
