Yeah, I know I should Kaybli, but I'm afraid I'd wind up spending most of my time there, so I resist. Besides, my music sweet spot is so much older than most everyone else here. Beatles, Beach Boys, Stones, Kinks, Temptations, Stevie Wonder, etc. Jeez, when I was six years old my wonderful Aunt bought me my first rock record, "Blueberry Hill" by Fats Domino, and I was instantly hooked. Probably my favorite Neil Young is "Long May You Run" or "Rockin' In The Free World." I love the Beatles, Beach Boys, Stones, and Stevie Wonder! Those are my jams! I prefer older music to anything on the radio today. Very cool my brother!! Good taste on your part.

I got the Beatles White Album on vinyl for my brother for Christmas. Just scrolling through my recent playlists I see I've listened to Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones and Superstition by Stevie Wonder.

When I was young (and to be fair, even today) I hated listening to the pre-pubescent Michael Jackson of The Jackson 5. It made me not pay much attention to him after he became a solo artist until the Tgriller video craze. So now, I’m sort of rediscovering his music. “Bad” was on the radio today and I was enjoying it. Yeah, I always liked Stevie, even when he was “Little Stevie Wonder”. Friggin’’ musical genius...Superstition is great. I always liked... What is it called? Mary wants to be a superwomen But is that really in her head? And all the things she wants to be She needs to leave behind (Or something like that...watch these be misheard lyrics that make me the forum clown.) As bad as he amy ha? I think not ...

You will never be the butt of the joke like karl and yankee54 were. I miss making fun of those nitwits.

Good. Then I must have got the words right. I thought it was called Superwoman, and I always thought the parenthesized portion of the title odd, because a group I liked a lot as a young teen, “The Grassroots” did a song called “Where Were You When I Needed You”. Good song, too. Other recommendations from that group include : Tempatation Eyes Feelings Midnight Confessions Live For Today Two Divided By Love Things I Should Have Said Here’s Where You Belong Love Is What You Make It The River Is Wide Melody For You Sooner Or Later Anyway The Wind Blows Lead singer Rob Grill had a very distinctive voice. Temptation Eyes, Midnight Confessions, Live For Today, and Sooner Or Later were the only songs they did that charted top ten in the USA. Among the others on the list, I really liked Things I Should Have Said and The River Is Wide, but can still listen to and enjoy everything on that list plus a few more. To me, the groups of that era are sort of my coming of age tunes... Oh sh*t. This turned into a music thread post by accident...Move it after Pipps gets a chance to see it if you want to. He probably recalls the group...

Everytime I hear about breast reductions it makes me think of that episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where Richard Lewis' girlfriend wants a breast reduction because of Larry. One of the all time great scenes - www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-V8u551jZA

Thanks, but I think it's the other way around. She thought your Neil Young comment was funny! Let me add my congrats as you approach twenty big ones. Looks like this thing is going to last. At first I thought Kaybli was suggesting that you have a Neil Young speaking voice, but on second thought I understand his reference. While I am mostly a fan of Neil's music, you do have to wonder how he got the recording contract in the first place. Although back in his Buffalo Springfield days, his singing style was not so exaggerated. "Mr. Soul", for example. There isn't a lot of middle ground on Neil Young's music. Thanks Pipps, once you hit 20 years, you should be OK, I think. I know I'm in the minority, but I love Neil's voice, It never bothered me like it does others. (like my wife) If I want to get her to leave the room, I just put the title track to After the Gold Rush on and she's outta here.

Twenty years is a great benchmark, and the odds are better at that point, but I had 37 (only 32 at separation) before my divorce and Ruthie had 29 years. Keep communications open, because you can’t read anyone else’s mind...but you can talk to them...and play music she likes sometimes, too. Sometimes it’s nice to be in the same room... (:
