Dragon Scalp???
I just hope he gets out of that habit where it looks like he’s going to kiss his bat as he sets up in the box...

Florial with an opposite field 3 run shot! How's that for pitch recognition? Cause he’s long and he’s strong and he’s known to get the friction on

Check out Ottavino's slider:
That is the definition of a wipeout slider! Looks like wiffleball.

That is the definition of a wipeout slider! Looks like wiffleball. I originally had to question why Cash would want a high K arm thst’s already 33 years old. I guess it’s because of that pitch. With a slider like that, he can afford to lose a couple MPH over the next couple years (if that happens) and still get people out...

Austin Romine (R) C DJ at 3rd. Interesting. Figure they expect him to be versatile with Tulo, Gleyber, and Andujar playing primarily. Then this gives them flexibility vs. a LHP (or whenever) to sit Gardner and put Stanton in LF too (move Miggy to DH and get the defensive boost on those days). It sounds like they only want to carry 3 bench guys which probably throw the Bird/Voit 1B/DH combo with Stanton as your everyday LF out the window, which is unfortunate.

Yea, I don't think that's happening unfortunately. See ya Bird, hopefully you'll work your way up to the big leagues again this year. Or if Voit continues to rake, see ya for good.

I don’t think it is unfortunate. Both Bird and Voit are one dimensional players. And a platoon doesn’t make sense for them. You can’t carry two guys like that. Bird’s best shot at being a starting 1B is either that Voit fails (and Voit will get a long leash since Cashman’s team went out of their way to acquire him and he succeeded after they did) or to go to SWB, crush the ball, and get traded.
