I used to lift weights. Before my back problems. I need to get back into it though. Have gotten fat over the years. Definitely not in the best shape of my life alert!

I wouldn't know, I'm a runner not a lifter. How much do you run? 3 to 4 times a week. I'm running a half marathon on St Paddy's day, so I'm in training right now. I just hope it warms up, because I hate running in cold weather.

I wouldn't know, I'm a runner not a lifter. I used to lift weights. Before my back problems. I need to get back into it though. Have gotten fat over the years. Definitely not in the best shape of my life alert! You just need to get back into it and get into a routine, it gets easier once you get going. Ellipticals work well for people with back and knee issues who don't want to run. We should start a work out/fitness thread.

3 to 4 times a week. I'm running a half marathon on St Paddy's day, so I'm in training right now. I just hope it warms up, because I hate running in cold weather. A half marathon? I couldn't even picture running a half marathon in my dreams. I get winded trying to run a mile!

I could never run for distance, even in my best days...I could do spurts, like a good CF must, or run the bases...Yet my lung capacity is still decent...But I never smoked...

Definitely not in the best shape of my life alert! I used to lift a bit, but I never did more than 150#. I'd dead lift them and bench press them...I was doing it in a damp basement back east and I kept getting bronchitis, so I quit...I no longer get bronchitis...I started doing some landscaping stuff and was carrying around a lot of large rocks and things like that to maintain strength...Me caveman...ugh...When I moved I loaded several of the rocks up and took them with me. My brother said I was crazy, he couldn't even help me lift one end of them...
