Wow! He's the best player in the game and he'll get paid like it.

Wow, good for Trout. Wish he had ended up here but kid deserves it. Glad hell likely be a single franchise guy though, like so many of the all time greats.

What? He'd rather take the money than go hang out with Bryce in Philly? What kind of friend is THAT???

Anybody up for an all-time Fish Name Team?
Anthony, Kevin, and Randy Bass
Dizzy, Steve, and Mike Trout
Bobby Sturgeon
I’m out of ammo for now...But that’s seven. With ol’ Dizz on mound on a good day, that may be enough...

Tim Salmon, Sid Bream, and Mike Carp. The pond is starting to fill...Ol’ Dizz could even take a few innings off now!

There go my pipe dreams of seeing him in Pinstripes. The way I see it, we could have gotten Trout about three years before the end of his prime, watched him fade into a good player, and eventually suffered with what was left of him the last 4-5 years of his career. It would have been fun to have him around for a few years, and torturous at the end. I’d rather do that for a legacy player, Judge in particular. I think it’s great for the Angels fans to be able to see his late career climb through the milestones with no doubt what hat he’ll be wearing at his HOF induction...

Too bad Marlin Perkins didn’t have a baseball career. If Roe’s family had been a bit more dignified, he could have been Preacher Caviar...

There should be a player named Crappie Smith. Crappie only got one AB in his career and hit into a triple play.
He made three errors on his only play in the field that allowed four runs to score.
They tried him at pitcher in a bases loaded situation and he allowed a home run on his first and only pitch.
Next they used him as a pinch-runner, and he got picked off.
When they told him to get on an opponent’s ass, he misinterpreted.
He lost at Fortnite, too...

Glad for Trout. I kind of suspected that he wanted to be one of those rare one-franchise career guys in the mode of Jeter and Gwynn and Ripken. It's good when that happens. If the Yanks couldn't get him, this was my next choice as a fan of the game.

If Roe’s family had been a bit more dignified, he could have been Preacher Caviar... Jack or Eddie Fisher, albeit indirect participants. Murderers, really, from the piscatory perspective. Slightly different spelling, but Ralph Garr. Although his nickname was Roadrunner, so he could be on our bird team. Let's not go there. Marlon Anderson. Again, allowing for spelling differences. AJ Pollock. Gus Gil. From baseball pioneer days Lip Pike. Obviously the National Anthem performed by Vince Gill.

I just found Chester Guppy, but since he was a ten year minor leaguer that never played in MLB, he’s heading to AAA, which didn’t even exist back in his day. He’ll be thrilled if he gets a cup of Joe!
