Davis still has a ways to go to break the all-time record. Pitcher Bob Buhl had an 0-87 string.
I had a Bob Buhl 6 finger Rawlings glove when I was 10 years old. I thought it was the coolest looking thing ever. And I never went 87 ABs without a hit either.

The hard-headed SOB deserves this record. When they tried to talk him into making changes he insisted that he’s a HR hitter, that’s what he does. Not gonna change. Well, try hitting a HR without hitting the ball at all you dumbass...
