Recalling the days when Arizona had to choose between Chris Owings and Didi at SS and chose to deal Didi to NY and go with Owings. I wonder, did anybody get fired for that choice?... Just recalling that jwildfogel always misspelled Didi’s last name as “Gregarious”...Which is certainly apt for him... Wonder what the old professor is up to.

Whatever it is, rest assured it’s highbrow...I should e-mail him and touch base. The last time I contacted him he had said he was very focused on his “project” to the point that he wasn’t tracking the off-season moves and left me instruction to e-mail him when the Yankees made roster changes. Uh. No...Sorry, but not my cup of tea...You’re either watching or your not, dude...

When he would receive the ball back from the catcher after throwing a ball, he would make a quarter turn, then touch his belt line to remind himself to reset his routine, then complete the turn back to the rubber, which would always touch twice before settling in to deliver again. I recognized this from one of the athletes I counseled in the past who used to do the same thing, plus twitch his left eyebrow and blink his eyes three times to reset his routine. It was only meant to illustrate the kind of content found and the amount that could (sometimes) be read before my attention deficit syndrome would be doing a Homer Simpson-like trek into various other content (Boobies...mmmm)...
