I fell asleep as the game was starting and woke up just as Sweeney Murdi was finishing the post-game wrap up. Saw the highlights -- as a wag on another website stated repeatedly, Andujar has really improved defensively over the past few weeks.
With this minor league lineup, any victory has to be cherished. Tons of credit to them.
Of course that's not exactly Murderers Row the Angels are putting out there either. It's just as well to play them before Ohtaeni returns.

Urshela has exceeded expectations. If he can be this productive that’s quite a coup by the professional scouting team, again.

Nice to wake up this morning and see that the Yanks won, although the bullpen was worked hard. I think Loaisiga was called up to make today's start, so the pen will get a workout tonight too.
Great job inger hanging in there!

Looks like the Yanks have changed their mind and will go with German today. Good idea.

Looks like the Yanks have changed their mind and will go with German today. Good idea. Figures. I liked the idea of inserting Loaisiga and pushing everyone back a day...I was looking forward to seeing the kid pitch...But I’ve liked watching German’s starts this year, too. Fun night? I hope so...

Joe Harvey has looked pretty decent the couple of times I watched him pitch. I know it's a numbers game and he is at the bottom of the ladder now, but I am thinking it is easier from a human resources standpoint to send down Harvey rather than Chad Green, who does in fact still have options and has certainly pitched so far like somebody who needs a time out.

I don’t really understand what they’re doing. I guess this is in case they need someone to pitch multiple innings? I didn’t understand skipping German and also don’t think putting German or Loadiga in the pen is best for them but they must be concerned about a game where the starter gets knocked out early and knowing that Harvey is not able to go more than 4-6 outs.
